Machinery guarding

Working with machinery is a key part of farming, but it is also one of the leading causes of injury, or even death, on Australian farms.

About this seminar

Produced by the National Farmers’ Federation, this short video demonstrates their simple four-step process for managing safety risks. The process involves identifying the hazard, assessing the risk, removing or controlling the risk and then reviewing the work.

Watch as the process is applied to a piece of machinery guarding that poses a potential hazard to a worker, with a practical example for workers on how to help improve safety on their farms.

Who is this seminar for?

This video will be helpful for farmers and anyone with an interest in safety in the agriculture industry. It may also be informative to small business owners.
